An in-depth interview or IDI is an interview carried out by a specialist with a respondent basing on a specific interview scenario or questionnaire. Such an interview enables us to learn respondents’ opinions on and attitudes towards the products tested and to verify their understanding of solutions and ideas. Which is important for further activities, the in-depth interviews are a tool describing the motives of actions and preferences, as well as the user’s characteristics.
