The eye tracking enables to determine which components are perceived first and to develop a consumer perceptual map.

One of the most popular methods is video-recording of eye movements using head-mounted devices (mobile eye tracking) thanks to which the respondent can move, or using remote devices (remote eye tracking) located e.g. on a desk and sometimes integrated with a display. The material presented to the respondent is used for further analysis of eye activity and is combined with the results as a „background”.
